Innovative robot solutions for businesses of all sizes
Robots have been an integral tool of industrial automation for many decades. They are a well understood technology and are being implemented in incredibly diverse use cases. However, up until recently, all robot applications had something in common. They were secluded from the human, encapsulated by fences, glass or light barriers.
Due to advancements in sensor technology, this is not always the case anymore. The new class of collaborative robots (COBOTs) are equipped with force and torque sensors to detect collisions with any part of the robotic arm. This means humans can now work directly inside the cobot's workspace which enables a substantial amount of use cases for the first time in the history of automation. Data from these sensors can also be used as programming parameters, which eventually improve the performance of Cobot Solutions.
VIKASO was built on the base of multiple years of experience in designing and implementing industry-leading COBOT solutions from the manufacturer's point of view. Because "we were there", we know the processes, complexities and challenges of production environments and we put all our hearts and minds into addressing them.
One of the backbones of our approach is to consider the whole application life cycle along all stages of development. That for example means discussing maintenance strategies while building the first CAD model.
We do not believe in sequential engineering and waterfall-type project management. Our processes are inspired by agile software development and we are designing them to be fast, robust and flexible - bringing mechanics, electronics, controls and safety to the same table from the start for every Cobot Integration.
This way, we have constant transparency and avoid inefficient re-planning or dead-ends.
For us, safety is the centre point of every COBOT Integration.
With human robot interaction, risk assessments and safety concepts have become significantly more complex. This is why we build our applications around safety from the first seconds of the simulation to the moment we sign our CE-Declaration.
